The Professional Diploma Program in Forced Migrations offers a comprehensive understanding of the complex issues surrounding forced displacement globally. The course explores the legal frameworks, human rights considerations, and challenges associated with forced migrations, equipping participants with the knowledge and skills needed to address the needs of refugees, internally displaced persons (IDPs), and other forcibly displaced individuals.
Course Objectives:
• Understand the root causes and dynamics of forced migration.
• Examine the legal and human rights frameworks relevant to forced displacement.
• Analyze the impacts of forced migration on individuals, communities, and societies.
• Explore humanitarian principles, policies, and practices in responding to forced migrations.
• Develop strategies for protecting and assisting displaced populations effectively.

• Research Paper: As part of the course requirements, you'll have the opportunity to select a research topic. After choosing your topic, you'll collaborate with the moderator to finalize it. Following approval, you'll proceed to develop a comprehensive proposal. Once approved, you'll continue to refine and expand your research by completing chapters three, four, and five of the paper. Detailed guidelines will be provided to ensure adherence to the preferred format specified by the institute.
• Assignments: To demonstrate comprehension, participants will complete three assignments designed to apply course concepts to real-world scenarios, fostering critical thinking and practical problem-solving skills after completing each module.
